Acute Designs: Finn's Story
Happy Monday! I wish we all had a smashing weekend. It was additional comfortable and balmy here in San Diego, that finished me additional encouraged and productive. I got so most done.
Thanks so most to any of we that finished my reader survey. I am usually going to leave a request active, so if we still wish to fill it out, we can do so here.
So many of we asked for some-more personal stories and/or behind a scenes in my studio. When my studio is clean, we will give we a behind a scenes debate though for now, here’s a small personal story about my dog Finn…..

My puppy is a prettiest child we know. He turns 3 in February, that technically means he is not a puppy anymore….but he will always be my small guy.

Yesterday, my father and we took him to a special Valentine’s Day mini-photo fire {with these people}.
If we have been reading this blog for a while, afterwards we competence know that Finn has extreme anxiety. Like tremor when my father watches soccer or if possibly of us raises a voice {in annoy OR happiness}. He also tends to flip out when anyone new comes to a house. He has a tough time with new people and dogs.

Finn’s stress is a small heart breaking. I mostly consternation if he is meant for this life, if he is happy, if he would rather be vital on a plantation where he can run giveaway all day…..
I even called an animal penetrating about him. Yes, we am one of those people. And it was fascinating.

He was residence damaged within weeks, can learn new tricks in minutes, won all a awards during puppy school, and has never chewed on a thing in a house. Seriously, even when he was 8 weeks old, he knew to usually gnaw on dog toys.
Finn’s stress creates it tough to go out and do anything with him, so yesterday’s tour was kind of a large understanding for all of us.
We left Gordita {our comparison dog} during home since she tends to brag Finn and make him even some-more shaken when he is already stressed. She is oozing with certainty and we consider she is confused by Finn’s behavior.

After a print shoot, we walked to get coffee and sat outside. A organisation of 3 teenage girls walked by and when they saw Finn they were full of high pitched “ooohs and ahhs” and “he is so cute!”
As they got closer and closer, my heart was in my throat and we was mentally vagrant them to not strech out and hold him. Or to even stop.
My biggest fear is that someone will try to pat his darling big-eared self and he will weird out and punch them.

So, if we ever occur to accommodate my honeyed Finny, a best thing to do is omit him. Don’t try to get him to comfortable adult to we or come to you, he will do this when he is ready.
He is a supportive dog with a heart 10 times a distance of mine, though it takes him a while…..
I saw this sketch on The Curious Pug final week and suspicion it was perfect.
I meant to take a few “behind a scenes” photos yesterday, though we was too bustling creation cat noises in sequence to get Finn to perk his ears. I saw a few of a shots a photographers took and they were priceless. I can't wait to share a proofs with we guys in a few weeks.
So, tell me. Do we have a dog with anxiety/fear issues? If so, what have we finished to assistance him or her?
